Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart. Most of my family ancestors fought in the Confederate War. I hope it doesn't offend anyone. I welcome anyone to visit my website depending on race creed or color. There are links for anyone to do their family research with.

On this page I'll provide as much information about who I am and what inspired me to do this research. Most of this information was probably obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more relatives than I ever thought possible! I am a single mother that loves to work on genealogy and find living relatives. As well as my ancestor's. I have been to a few of the places where some of them are buried and used to live. It is all about History.
All of the pictures are linkable just click on them. And any words that are underlined are links to other websites

This is a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might help round out the picture.
While you are here visiting my website please sign my guestbook, and recommend it to other's. Report any broken links to me. At the bottom of this page I have links to family websites. Thanks

The Family Loop

Many, many years ago
When I was twenty three,
I got married to a widow,
Pretty as could be.

This widow had a grown-up daughter
With flowing hair of red.
My father fell in love with her,
And soon the two were wed.

This made my dad my son-in-law
And changed my very life,
Now my daughter was my mother,
For she was my father's wife.

To complicate the matters worse,
Although it brought me joy.
I soon became the father
Of a bouncing baby boy.

My little baby then became
A brother-in-law to dad.
And so became my uncle,
Though it made me very sad.

For if he was my uncle,
Then that also made him brother
to the widow's grown-up-daughter
Who, of course, was my step-mother.

Father's wife then had a son,
Who kept them on the run.
And he became my grandson,
For he was my daughter's son.

My wife is now my mother's mother
And it makes me blue.
Because, although she is my wife,
She's my grandma too.

If my wife is my grandmother,
Then I am her grandchild.
And every time I think of it,
It simply drives me wild.

For now I have become
The strangest case you ever saw.
As the husband of my grandmother,
I am my own grandpa!

My Family History (Genealogy Site)

The Book below is a work in progress, the Historical Society in Clovis New Mexico and Cannon AFB are starting the process to start digging in Blacktower Cemetery to locate graves, during this search I will be adding items in this book until the actual tombstone is placed on William Benjamin Brantley's grave. They have found there are two Civil War Soldiers buried there in the Blacktower Cemetery.
